The institute of engineering technology (hereinafter as IET), subject to the China Jialing Industrial Corp., was established in April, 1994 , a enterprise technical approved by the government with about twenty senior has taken lead in the motorcycle industry to build a esearch station with the research and development from product plot, prospect design, creative formation, reverse engineering, and CAD&CAE to engineering development and trial-making and experiment. It also has successfully applied the technology of liquid-cooled, multi-cylinders, multi-valves, high displacement, accelerant, electric control, electric fuel injection, 3D design and analysis, and instant modeling to the motorcycle products, initially constructing a parallel R&D research system and accumulating the experience and skills in the respect of the system mass integration, matching design and engineering design. IET has obtained many technical invention patents and been awarded many times nationally, especially including the manufactory technique of 600cc engine, the first civilian high displacement in China while it takes part in the formulation of the national standards regarding the motorcycle noise, exhaust output, fuel evaporation pollution limits and testing methods.

In the whole motorcycle development, it has the main seven series of whole motorcycles, represented by Leopard Wolf, Golden Warrior, and Cool, matching along with the engine technical advantages represented by DLN133. Beside, the important items, such as JH600, 8x8, and ski bob add to its edges in the scope of switch from manufacturing military products to goods for civilian use.

In the field of software-development, it not only has got the double dimension design software of YS-CAD, the 3D design software of CATIA,PRO-E and UG, and analysis software of ANSYS,ADAMS,NASTRON,BOOST,TYCON etc., but also builds up many other sub-systems consisted of the computer fundamental network system, office auto database OA system, out-sending E-file management system EDT, Via-control host computer safety supervision system, product data management system PDM, disk array, and virus firewall internet. This makes the base for the data share and transfer safely inside technical center to establish a development platform for motorcycle digitalized sample.

The testing station, affiliated to IET, has a capital assets of CNY sixteen million four hundred thousand covering all kinds of testing instruments totaling in about one hundred units with a testing room of four thousand square meters and a testing circle of four thousand two hundred square meters. It is the motorcycle quality inspection body authorized by Chongqing Municipal Quality & Technical Supervision Bureau. Furthermore, it has been recognized by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (abbr. as CNAS) and awarded 21 kinds of two hundred and eighty six items by authority, with the capacity of complete performance testing and endurance experiment to all kinds of motorcycles and engines below the displacement of 1000cc.
